On a short layover as a flight attendant, I had the chance to spend some time in New York City and took the opportunity to test the Kentmere Pan 200 film once again.
On the evening of my arrival, I went with a colleague to Red Hook, Brooklyn by ferry. The contrasty evening light was simply stunning, and the Kentmere 200 captured it beautifully with rich tones and great detail. We enjoyed some craft beers at Strong Rope Brewery in Red Hook before taking the ferry back – the view of Manhattan’s skyline from the water is always breathtaking, and on film it feels even more timeless.
The next morning, after coffee and breakfast, I went for a walk through the Financial District, exploring the streets and light reflections between the skyscrapers. I also made a quick detour to Tribeca, where the mixture of architecture, street life, and shadows created strong frames that worked perfectly with the character of the Kentmere Pan 200.
This film continues to impress me – it handles contrast beautifully, gives me plenty of detail even in tricky light, and has a crisp sharpness without losing the analog charm. For me, Kentmere Pan 200 is an excellent choice for city walks, street photography, and travel work.
